LED downlight: how to install?

What is a downlight?

Downlights are recessed luminaires that are placed in the ceiling. They have standard sizes or they are cutouts. Downlights are substitutes for LFC and PL-C downlights. There are also dimmable downlights. For ceilings where recessed luminaires are not possible to install, you can install a surface-mounted luminaire. Downlights are multi-function: you can install them in schools, offices, corridors, and stairs.

LEDdownlights are available in different light colors:

Replace your old downlight with an LED downlight is easy, just follow these 6 steps:

Step 1.

Make sure the power is off. Before replacing a lamp, the power supply must be turned off. For added security, you can turn off the power at the meter.

Step 2.

Disconnect the power supply and remove the old recessed spotlight (downlight).

Step 3.

Unscrew the driver cover. Next, connect the Euro cord: the brown L-shaped cable and the blue N-cable. Screw back the driver's cover.

Step 4.

Connect the power cable to the mains.

Step 5.

Push the clips of the downlights, located on each side of the downlight and place it in the ceiling.

Step 6.

Turn on the power and start saving energy and money immediately.
